If you have high blood pressure and or a family history of heart disease and are thinking of running, cycling and or swimming (half or full marathon, triathlon or Ironman) come in for a Cardiac Fitness Evaluation (CFE)
SAFER
I’ll do an EKG (to look for hidden arrhythmias), an ECHO (sonogram to evaluate cardiac power, effects of high blood pressure) and a cardiac treadmill test (to understand oxygen flowand consumption in the heart and if there is high or low likelihood of blockages) - all of which may hamper your performance or potentially cause a problem for you during your training and/or on race day.
Know before you go.
Know before you go.
STRONGER
With detailed anatomic and physiologic data gained from your CFE, you and I will come up with a training and race day plan to succeed. I’ll go into detail about your time to peak heart rate (TPHR), heart rate recovery (HRR), anaerobic zone (AZ), and target heart rate training (THR).
In short, guide you to train at your fullest/safest potential, without worrying about your heart disease, high blood pressure and or your family history.
Cardio to the max ... Don’t shortchange yourself.
